Spurs Interested in Suns' Fan Favorite

PHOENIX -- The Phoenix Suns saw a handful of players become eligible for trade over the weekend, and the San Antonio Spurs reportedly could be after a fan favorite.
According to Hoopswire's Sam Amico, the Spurs could potentially be targeting Bol Bol to add to the roster.
From Amico:
"San Antonio may have interest in Suns center Bol Bol, who is believed to be available, sources told Hoops Wire. Bol is among the players who become eligible to be traded on Friday, Dec. 15. The idea of Bol backing up and occasionally playing alongside Victor Wembanyama is indeed an intriguing one."
The Suns inked Bol to a one-year deal over the summer. In a stacked Suns rotation, the 24-year-old hasn't been featured very often, as Bol has appeared in just five games despite chants from the home crowd for coach Frank Vogel to give Bol minutes.
Bol did see some early action in the first quarter against the Golden State Warriors where he played five minutes before being pulled.
"Bol Bol was good. That stretch they got a 15-2 run or whatever that was - I think two of those points were were Bol's. It wasn't because of Bol, but it was enough that - that group, I wanted to have more guys out there that have been in rotation and playing so we made the tweak in the second half," Vogel said after the loss to Golden State.
"But I want to look at Bol and give him an opportunity as well. So thought we'd give him a little bit of a run there. But it didn't go well for the group so we went away from it."
With the Suns all-in on a championship push, it's unlikely Bol climbs the rankings of the depth chart in Phoenix.
San Antonio, on the other hand, is in a clear rebuild mode and has more opportunity to see if Bol can capitalize on the potential many believe he has.
