Thunder Gameday: Headed West for String of Games with Warriors Up First

With a shorthanded roster, Golden State will host Oklahoma City tonight.

For the second time in a week, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors will match up. The first contest took place in OKC, but this time around these teams will be on the West Coast.

Steph Curry is out for the next few weeks with a leg injury, which is a huge blow for Golden State. The Warriors will need others to step up in his absence.

The Thunder are also dealing with more marginal injuries, but have their star in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander healthy and ready to roll.

Ousmane Dieng, Jordan Poole, Golden State Warriors

ODDS:

The Thunder enter the day as 2.5-point underdogs to the Warriors, and the total over/under is 227.5 points.

KEYS TO THE GAME:

The last time these two teams played, it was a contest in which the Warriors won from beyond the arc. The 3-point shot got them out to a 20-point lead in the first half, which Oklahoma City chipped away at but never got back within striking distance.

With Curry out of the lineup, now is the time for Jordan Poole to emerge as a legitimate cornerstone piece in Golden State. Furthermore, Klay Thompson will have to continue his stretch of great play.

The Thunder have been solid since the turn of the calendar year, but have struggled quite a bit this week. With that in mind, they're coming off a convincing win and should have a lot fo confidence entering this game.

It will be about playing to their style and not allowing the Warriors to dictate how this game is played.
