On Friday night, former Ohio State forward Justice Sueing agreed to join the Thunder's Summer League team, Jon Chepkevich of DraftExpress reported.

The sixth-year senior averaged 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game in his final season with the Buckeyes, earning Sueing All-Big 10 honors. The veteran forward played in 35 games for Ohio State this season, starting 32.

At 6-foot-7 and 215 pounds, the Honolulu, HI, native has good enough size to compete well in multiple roles in Las Vegas.

Sueing spent two seasons at California before transferring and redshirting in his first year at Ohio State. Following his redshirt season, the former Bear played three more years with the Buckeyes.

Early in the 2021-22 season, however, Sueing suffered an abdominal injury that would sideline him for nearly the entire season. Despite missing two whole years due ti redshirt and injury, the defensive standout averaged more than 10 points per game four times in his collegiate career.

As a sophomore at Cal, Sueing scored a career-high 14.3 points per game, adding six rebounds, two assists and 1.7 steals per contest.

Hailing from Mater Dei (CA), the former Bear and Buckeye was a 3-star recruit coming out of high-school. After a stellar college career, Sueing seems to have out-performed his former recruiting projection.

The talented forward is a three-time Big 10 Academic All-Conference honoree, fitting OKC's mold of high IQ players with good character. While his numbers may not pop off the screen, scouts have reported that Sueing's effort level on defense is very impressive.

Sueing will have to compete with former Wyoming guard Hunter Maldonado, former Baylor guard Adam Flagler and former Rutgers guard Caleb McConnell in the Summer League in hopes that one of them has a chance to make it onto a G League roster around the association.
