Steve Kerr Reveals Reason for Controversial Decision vs. Kings

The Golden State Warriors went away from a red hot Moses Moody

Not in the rotation to start the game, Golden State Warriors forward Moses Moody got his number called in the second half and did not disappoint. Going a perfect 4/4 from the field in 13 minutes of play, Moody was fantastic for the Warriors, but they opted for other options down the stretch.

When asked about this controversial decision to go away from Moody while he had the hot hand, Kerr said, "Moses was awesome tonight. We needed to get [Andrew Wiggins] on the floor for defense against Fox, and we decided to go with Klay [Thompson] and our vets. We thought about keeping him out there, but we made the move that we made."

Kerr added that Moody was fantastic, staying ready despite not being in the rotation to start the game. While Kerr loved what Moody did for the Warriors in this one, he said the team needed to get Wiggins back one the floor to defend Fox, and then opted for other veterans like Klay Thompson as opposed to sticking with Moody.

The Warriors have a lot of issues right now beyond the handling of individual players like Moody, but the inconsistency in rotations is something that has been notable throughout the season. Unable to get any sustainable momentum, the Warriors do not look like a great team right now.
