The New Orleans Saints will leave Louisiana on Monday at 5:30 p.m. CT and travel to Cincinnati, where they plan to practice Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Saints adjusted their schedule based on the projected landfall of Hurricane Isaac this week. Estimates Monday morning estimated the story would hit Tuesday night or early Wednesday after torrential rain over Cuba on Sunday.

The Saints' itinerary called for a day off Monday -- coach Joe Vitt told players to evacuate their families if possible -- before the 75-man roster and coaching staff was to leave for Cincinnati. The Saints will depart Nashville on Wednesday before the preseason finale against the Titans at LP Field on Thursday night.

On Aug. 29, 2005, the Saints and many residents of the Gulf region were decimated by Hurricane Katrina. Before that storm made landfall, the Saints had evacuated early to prepare for a preseason game against the Raiders.
