Bills receiver Watkins active against Chiefs

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) Buffalo Bills rookie receiver Sammy Watkins and running back Fred Jackson are listed as active against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.

Watkins is the Bills' leading receiver and is playing despite missing two straight practices after hurting his groin Wednesday. Jackson returns ahead of schedule. He was expected to miss four weeks after hurting his groin in a 17-16 win over Minnesota on Oct. 19.

With Watkins playing, receiver Mike Williams is inactive for the second time in four games.

For the Chiefs (5-3), linebacker Joe Mays is listed as active a day after being taken off the team's short-term injured reserve list. Mays has been on IR since training camp, when had wrist surgery.
