The New England Patriots have signed quarterback Garrett Gilbert to a future contract.
The New England Patriots have signed quarterback Garrett Gilbert to a future contract.
Gilbert enrolled at Texas after being rated a five-star recruit in high school.
Gilbert later transferred to SMU, where he played two seasons before being selected in the sixth round of the 2014 draft by the St. Louis Rams.
The Patriots also signed 11 other players to future contracts.
