Cleveland Browns cornerback Joe Hadensaid on ESPN's First Take on Wednesday that quarterback Johnny Manziel is living with a former high school coach.

Haden did not name the coach, but multiple media outlets reported that Manziel is staying with former Kerrville Tivy High School offensive coordinator Julius Scott.

Manziel said in a 2014 interview with the Houston Chronicle that Scott had a big influence on him in high school.

“After I won the Heisman, I was cool and calm and didn’t lose my emotions until I got to the top floor and the Heisman suite,” Manziel said. “Coach Scott was there. When I saw him, I just lost it. I bawled my eyes out right there.”

Manziel spent 10 weeks at a Pennsylvania treatment facility earlier this year for an undisclosed issue, but he has been a participant through the team’s offseason training program.

He has yet to speak publicly to the media since his release from the treatment center.

Manziel said he took full responsibility for his actions that landed him in rehab and would “work very hard to regain everyone’s trust and respect.”

The Browns, who have missed the playoffs in each of the past 12 seasons, start their mandatory minicamp on June 16.
