Tuesday January 12th, 2016

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger told 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh that he has a sprained AC joint and torn ligaments in his throwing shoulder.

Roethlisberger still expects to be available for Sunday's playoff game against the Denver Broncos but is currently day-to-day monitoring his shoulder.

“I'll go in tomorrow with the intent to see what I can do,” Roethlisberger said during the interview. “I honestly don't know.”

Landry Jones has been receiving the majority of reps in practice early this week. Head coach Mike Tomlin did not rule out Roethlisberger.

Roethlisberger was hurt on a hit by Vontaze Burfict in the third quarter of Sunday's playoff victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Saturday.

The Steelers will play the Broncos at 4:40 p.m. ET at Mile High Stadium.
