Backfield in Motion for Bears

In this story:
The good news for the Bears backfield with the injury report didn't include Roschon Johnson returning to the practice field.
The backup running back missed last week's loss to Minnesota with a concussion and remained sidelined in the concussion protocol on Wednesday. With starter Khalil Herbert on injured reserve due to an ankle injury, Johnson's return would have been welcomed.
However, the Bears did get running back Travis Homer back at practice on a limited basis after he missed last week's game with a hamstring injury.
So D'Onta Foreman likely will be asked to carry much of the load with help from Darrynton Evans and possibly Homer when the Bears host the Raiders Sunday.
Homer wasn't the only player limited.
Reserve guard-center Dan Feeney has a knee injury and was limited. Defensive end Yannick Ngakoue (back) and tackle Darnell Wright (shoulder) also were limited while safety Eddie Jackson was also limited after leaving following 14 plays in Sunday's game as he tried to come back from a foot injury.
Center Doug Kramer continued working through full practices as he hopes to return from injured reserve. He went on IR with a thumb injury in preseason.
Besides quarterback Justin Fields (thumb), cornerback Terell Smith (illness) and guard Nate Davis (ankle) were out and are on a week-to-week basis.
The Bears still do not have left tackle Braxton Jones cleared to be considered for reinstatement to the roster after he had neck surgery. He is eligible to begin a window to return this week.
