Coaching Staff Population Way Up

In this story:
The Bears coaching staff continues to swell.
They replaced one lost assistant positional coach with another but added another position and coach. Head coach Matt Eberflus now has a veritable army of coaches with 24 coaches on staff, not counting the four strength and conditioning coaches or fellowship coaches.
Bryan Bing has been hired as assistant defensive line coach, replacing Justin Hinds after he was hired as the Seattle Seahawks defensive line coach this week.
Then they added the offensive assistant/quarterbacks and wide receivers position and hired Ryan Griffin to fill it.
Bing was on diversity fellowships with the coaching staff of the Indianapolis Colts last year and the Arizona Cardinals in 2022.
Before those two stops, he was Wooford defensive line coach in 2021-2022 and a defensive graduate assistant coach at Pitt in 2019 and 2020. He was at Butler in 2018 as a defensive tackles coach and before that a grad assistant coach at Kent State (2017) and running backs coach at Heidelberg University (2016).
Hinds had been defensive line coach Travis Smith's assistant the last two seasons before being hired in Seattle.
The Ryan Griffin the Bears hired to coach QBs and receivers is not the same Ryan Griffin they had on the roster in 2022. That Ryan Griffin was a tight end. This Ryan Griffin was a Tampa Bay backup QB from 2015-23 and before that a Saints backup who was signed as an undrafted free agent coming out of Tulane in 2013.
They just hired Robbie Picazo this week with the same title.
In all those years on rosters and on practice squads, he threw four passes with two completions for 18 yards.
So this is Griffin's first stint as a coach. At Tulane he had thrown for 9,026 yards with 56 touchdowns and 35 interceptions.
