Vikings Facing Bears Without Top Threat

In this story:
The Bears will catch a break as the Minnesota Vikings will come to Soldier Field without one of the game's best wide receivers, Justin Jefferson.
According to a report by NFL Network's Tom Peliserro, Jefferson is going on injured reserve and will miss at least four games due to the hamstring injury he suffered Sunday against Kansas City.
It will likely mean an increased role for Jordan Addison, the former USC player who the Vikings drafted No. 23 overall this year. Addison, who is 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, is quite a bit different type of receiver than the 6-foot-1, 195-pound Jefferson, who is more of a classic X-type on the outside.
Addison is off to a good start with 19 catches in 29 targets for 249 yards and three touchdowns. He six receptions for 64 yards against Kansas City, but had gone without a catch and had one target the previous week against Carolina.
They also have K.J. Osborn, who had a season-high five receptions for 49 yards after making a career-high 60 catches last year. Osborn made 10 receptions for 158 yards against the Bears in two games last year.
The Bears could have all of their starting secondary intact to face the Vikings after injuries, although there has been no word yet on safety Eddie Jackson's return.
Kyler Gordon's window for consideration to be removed from injured reserve has begun and cornerback Jaylon Johnson said he expects to play against Minnesota after being out two games with a hamstring injury.
