CINCINNATI — The Bengals are keeping one of their own. They're signing defensive end Sam Hubbard to a four-year, $40 million contract according to multiple reports.

Hubbard, a Cincinnati native, has appeared in 44 games over the past three years for the Bengals. He has 177 tackles and 16.5 sacks over that span.

Cincinnati selected him in the third-round (77th overall) in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Hubbard joins Trey Hendrickson and DJ Reader as building blocks on the Bengals' defensive line. He played through injuries last season and help Cincinnati beat Houston on the road with a game-clinching strip-sack in the closing minutes.

Hubbard is under contract through the 2025 season. He was entering the final year of his rookie deal.
