Will Bengals Go After Former Broncos Tight End Albert Okwuegbunam?

In this story:
CINCINNATI — Will the Bengals add a tight following roster cut down day for the second-straight season?
The Broncos released Albert Okwuegbunam on Tuesday. Denver took the 25-year-old in the fourth-round pick (118th overall) in the 2020 NFL Draft.
He's appeared in 26 games over the past three seasons, hauling in 54 receptions for 546 yards and four scores. The Broncos have a deeper tight end room and with head coach Sean Payton coming into town, it's easy to see why they'd be open to moving on from Okwuegbunam.
He did show his potential in the Broncos preseason finale, finishing with seven receptions for 109 yards and one touchdown.
If the Bengals did put a claim in on Okwuegbunam, they would need virtually every other NFL team to pass on him. The Bengals are currently 29th on the waiver list—only the 49ers, Eagles and Chiefs are lower.
UPDATE: Philadelphia is trading a 2025 sixth-round pick to Denver in exchange for Okwuegbunam and a 2025 seventh-round pick according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The move makes sense, especially considering they are 31st in waiver priority.
