'Shocker!' Colin Cowherd Reveals Prediction for Bills Next Season

The Buffalo Bills will be under the burden of Super Bowl expectations next season, but that would be made easier by winning the AFC East. Can they once again repeat as champions?

If the Buffalo Bills are going to capitalize on the Super Bowl window that quarterback Josh Allen provides, giving themselves the easiest path possible is a must.

That starts with winning the division and, ideally, claiming home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. Welcome the Kansas City Chiefs to Buffalo didn’t work out in 2023, but in a rivalry with such slim margins, every advantage counts.

Of course, the AFC East only looks to get tougher as the offseason truly gets going. The New York Jets will almost certainly be more competitive with a healthy Aaron Rodgers under center and the Miami Dolphins’ marriage of scheme and speed is remarkably dangerous. Even the New England Patriots shape up to be feistier with an upgrade at quarterback looming.

Some still prefer the Bills to the field that is their AFC East opponents.

On Friday, Colin Cowherd predicted the 2024 season’s playoff teams, complete with each division winner. Buffalo reigned supreme, along with the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, and Indianapolis Colts.

“Shocker, I’m taking the best quarterbacks overwhelmingly,” Cowherd said.

“So the Bills have won their division four straight years. … “Nothing against Miami but Tua [Tagovailoa] was completely healthy this year. Think that’s gonna happen again next? Also, still don’t love their o-line.”

At its core, the argument for another Buffalo divisional championship is simple: the best quarterback in the division – by far – resides in Western New York. Allen is a perennial MVP candidate and one of the best players on the planet.

That will have to carry weight as there’s a good chance this roster comes into 2024 in lesser shape than it left 2023.

Several big-name free agents are bound to test the open market, the back seven may endure a makeover, and the receiving corps is set to undergo additional changes. Aside from the offensive line, most units risk lacking continuity as Allen’s cap hit blossoms and general manager Brandon Beane pivots to the discount rack.
