Bills Ex Ken Dorsey To Interview for Buccaneers Offensive Coordinator

Former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey is gaining some attention for new jobs.

It's been more than two months since the Buffalo Bills fired offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey, and while Joe Brady filled in well on an interim basis, they are still looking for a full-time replacement.

At the same time, Dorsey is also attracting interest from other teams. After interviewing for the Cleveland Browns' offensive coordinator job earlier in the week, Dorsey is set to interview for the same position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Dorsey, 42, had been with the Bills since 2019, starting as a quarterbacks coach, then adding the title of passing game coordinator in 2021 and finally taking over as offensive coordinator when Brian Daboll left in 2022. His time as offensive coordinator had its share of ups and downs, but last season, the Bills finished second in both total and scoring offense under his leadership.

However, Dorsey's offense was a much different story this season. The Bills floundered to a 5-5 start, with turnovers and other avoidable mistakes killing them on numerous occasions. After a frustrating 24-22 loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 10, the Bills handed Dorsey his pink slip.

Buffalo's offense significantly improved under Brady, as the team went 7-2 and made it to the Divisional Round with him calling the shots.

Meanwhile, the Buccaneers' are looking for a new offensive coordinator after Dave Canales left to become head coach of the Carolina Panthers on Thursday. They've wasted no time in looking for a replacement, as they've also lined up interviews with Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, Rams quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson and former Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Brian Johnson.

Additionally, the Bills have requested to interview Buccaneers quarterbacks coach Thad Lewis, a former Buffalo quarterback and Tampa Bay's top internal choice to replace Canales, for their own offensive coordinator opening.
