Todd McShay Mock: Bills Draft 'Savvy' WR Jordan Addison, 'Instinctive' CB Riley Moss

What direction will the Buffalo Bills go during the 2023 NFL Draft?

The 2023 NFL Draft is just over three weeks away ... and mock drafts are coming fast and furious.

For the Buffalo Bills, who hold a pair of top-60 picks in No. 27 and No. 59, the draft presents an opportunity to add difference makers in both the short and long term.

But who could those players be?

In his latest mock draft, ESPN's Todd McShay had Buffalo selecting USC receiver Jordan Addison in the first round and Iowa cornerback Riley Moss in the second.

So, why make Addison the crown jewel of the class? McShay explain ...

"Addison uses his speed, route-running savviness and high-end instincts to separate from coverage, and he'd fit nicely with this Buffalo offense. Despite a 5-foot-11 frame, he can make tough catches down the field.

"And while Stefon Diggs is here to stay for a bit, the Bills need to find more pass-catchers. Gabe Davis is only under contract for one more year, and the depth chart beyond those two is lackluster. Addison had 159 catches for 2,468 yards and 25 touchdowns over the past two seasons (the first of which was at Pitt)." - McShay

The 5-11, 173-pound Addison ran a 4.49 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine and has drawn comparisons to Jacksonville Jaguars wideout Calvin Ridley.

In 2021, Addison won the Biletnikoff Award given annually to the best receiver in college football; he subsequently transferred from Pittsburgh to USC and earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors in his lone season out west.

Addison would bring an intriguing combination of skill and production - but what about Moss?

Here's McShay ...

"Moss is instinctive and makes plays on the ball. In fact, he had 11 interceptions and broke up 23 passes over his 54-game college career," McShay wrote. "Moss fits best in zone looks, which Buffalo ran 60% of the time last season (10th most), and the Bills could use depth at the position."

Moss, who stands 6-1, 193 pounds, was named the Big Ten's top defensive back in 2021 and followed it up by earning second-team honors this past season.

The 23-year-old has an extensive track background, headlined by holding the Iowa state record in the 110-meter hurdles at 13.85 seconds; he ran a 4.45 40-yard dash at the Combine.

Will the Bills ultimately select Addison and/or Moss?

Only time will tell - but the answer will be in soon enough.
