Bills Schedule Release: How Many Primetime Games Does Buffalo Have?

The Buffalo Bills will have no shortage of opportunities to play under the national lights following Thursday's schedule release.

Though the regular season is still almost four months away from kicking off, football grew another step closer to returning with the NFL releasing its schedule for this coming season.

And for the Buffalo Bills, that means confirmation of more of the same - lots and lots of primetime games.

Just one year after having five standalone contests under the lights, the Bills are scheduled to play six primetime games, once more starting the season in such a game on the road.

Here's a look at Buffalo's primetime schedule (all times Eastern) ...

Week 1 (Mon., Sept. 11): at New York Jets, 8:15 p.m. (ESPN)

Week 6 (Sun., Oct. 15): vs. New York Giants, 8:20 p.m. (NBC)

Week 8 (Thur., Oct. 26): vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 8:15 p.m. (Amazon Prime)

Week 9 (Sun., Nov. 05): at Cincinnati Bengals, 8:20 p.m. (NBC)

Week 10 (Mon., Nov. 13): vs. Denver Broncos, 8:15 p.m. (ESPN)

Week 16 (Sat., Dec. 23): at Los Angeles Chargers, 8:00 p.m. (Peacock)

The Bills will also have a standalone game in Week 5 when they travel to London to play for the Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Week 18 road matchup with the Miami Dolphins could still turn into a primetime affair, as the start time remains to be determined.

Of note, the Bills play three consecutive primetime contests in Weeks 8, 9 and 10, and do so in four out of five weeks when adding in Week 6.

Buffalo has several other high-profile games that won't be standalone events, including Weeks 12 and 14 when it faces last year's Super Bowl teams on the road in the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs. Both games are currently slated to kickoff at 4:25 p.m. on CBS.

In essence, for members of Bills Mafia who have morning shifts on Fridays, Mondays and Tuesdays, buckle up and be sure to have plenty of coffee on standby, because the primetime games are coming fast and furious this fall.
