Bills WR Stefon Diggs Opens Up On Uncertain Future: 'Day By Day'

Amidst many questions about his future with the Buffalo Bills, star receiver Stefon Diggs isn't sure what lies ahead of him.

Since the Buffalo Bills were ousted from the playoffs by the Kansas City Chiefs on Jan. 21, receiver Stefon Diggs has been the subject of many questions surrounding his future with the team.

Diggs has been the subject of similar drama before, such as when he was mysteriously absent for the first day of mandatory minicamp in the summer. Now, though, those rumors have come back in full force, owing largely to the fact that Diggs ended the season without a 100-yard performance in his last 13 games. A departure from Buffalo seems difficult with the 30-year-old receiver still under contract for four more seasons, but it hasn't stopped speculation from running rampant.

When asked about his future at this weekend's Pro Bowl Games, Diggs didn't sound too sure that he would remain in Buffalo for the long haul.

"I feel like I take it day by day," Diggs said, per ESPN. "Obviously, there's a lot of changes going on, a lot of things going on. I can't really put the carriage before the horse, you know what I'm saying? But I got a great offseason in front of me to put a lot of work in and kind of build around what we got and what we're doing.

"I can't tell you what the future holds, but I'm still being me."

Furthermore, Diggs said "I'm ready to go no matter which way it goes," when asked if he was ready to move forward with the Bills.

Since coming to Buffalo in 2020, Diggs has been the Bills' undisputed top pass-catcher and has earned four Pro Bowl nods in as many seasons. This season was his worst in a Bills uniform, though, especially as the year went on. In the Bills' season-ending loss to the Chiefs, Diggs had just three receptions for 21 yards on eight targets.

Despite a long cold streak to end the year, Diggs still believes he's one of the very best receivers in the game.

"I've been in the league for a long time. Obviously, even as players, some plays we want back and some plays I want back, especially at the end of the game," Diggs said about the Chiefs game. "But it's not much you can do about it. Now, here as you take a couple of weeks to decompress and think about it, things could have been better. But [I'm] kind of rolling with the punches and moving forward."
