The Buffalo Bills host the New York Giants in prime time on Sunday night as Buffalo hopes to bounce back from a loss to the Jags in London last week.

The Giants also are looking to rebound this week after a 31-16 loss to the Dolphins, but New York could have a rough go of it without starting quarterback Daniel Jones. Jones suffered a neck injury from last week's game and was held out of a second straight practice this week by the team's medical staff. Giants coach Brian Daboll said Friday that Jones will not play on Sunday.

Also injured for the Giants is running back Saquon Barkley, who took team reps for the first time since suffering a high ankle sprain in the Week 2 win against the Arizona Cardinals, but might not be ready to return. His game status could lead up to gameday.

It's somewhat of a homecoming for Daboll, who spent the 2018-21 seasons as the Bills' offensive coordinator. Daboll is also a native of the area. Although he was born across the Niagara River in Welland, Ontario, he was raised by his grandparents in West Seneca, New York, just outside of Buffalo.

The Bills' loss to the Jags in London dropped them to 3-2 on the year, also losing to the Jets to open the season. Although the Giants have won three straight at Highmark Stadium since 1993, an injury-decimated roster might help Buffalo to victory.

The game could come down to the line of scrimmage. The Giants have allowed an NFL-leading 30 sacks and could be missing left tackle Andrew Thomas. On the other side, the Bills lead the league with 21 sacks, and linebacker Von Miller is just now getting back to full speed. Miller was on the field for just 20 snaps last week in his return from a knee injury suffered last November.
