A Media Report Urges A Stefon Diggs Trade from the Buffalo Bills to the Cleveland Browns. Does It Add Up?

Maybe the Buffalo Bills and All-Pro Stefon Diggs bring this junk on themselves, as the receiver has a habit of wearing his emotion on his sleeve, and as the franchise has a habit of being almost-title worthy.

But here we go again with Diggs being mentioned as a possible candidate for a 2024 trade - and at least this time it doesn't involve the Dallas Cowboys, a concept so oft-repeated that it's become trite.

No, this time the analysts at The 33rd Team want the Bills to send Diggs to ...Cleveland.

The Browns could use weaponry, of course ... though many of their problems might be solved if pricy QB Deshaun Watson ever gets his stuff - physically and otherwise - together.

What is The 33rd Team's justification from a Buffalo perspective?

“With Dalton Kincaid and Khalil Shakir progressing nicely and with a loaded wide receiver draft class coming up, the Bills could seriously look to move Diggs during the offseason,'' the site writes.

From our perspective, with all due respect to Kincaid and Shakir? If one thinks the Browns have weaponry needs, the Josh Allen-led offense without Diggs does not excite.

Are there conflicts between the Bills and Diggs that could lead to a divorce? Diggs has frequently been forced to shoot down those rumors.

Is it finally viable for Diggs - to be moved? His annual salary is about $27 million ... creating obstacles for both the buyer and the seller.

And what about compensation? If the Browns called and offered a 2024 first-round pick, would Buffalo bite?

Nope. ... because the Browns, by virtue of having given up the farm to Houston in order to get Watson, don't have a 2023 first-round pick to give.

The Bills' setup with Stefon Diggs, to us, is "same as it ever was'': The best way to get production out of arguably the NFL's best receiver isn't to throw him like a bone to the Dawg Pound. ... It's to throw him the ball in Buffalo.
