On both sides of the ball, the Denver Broncos have been installing new schemes that really benefit multiple players on each side of the ball. Something that is so great about the new coaching staff is their ability to adapt their scheme to the players they have.

Vic Fangio is not a young coach, but he is a very modern, forward-thinking coach, which is great.

An issue that a lot of old coaches have is they are stuck in their old ways, but in each of his NFL stops, Fangio has grown and modernized his scheme. He also adapts it to the players instead of trying to force players to fit the scheme.

That is something a lot of coaches don’t do, both young and old. There is this line of thought that you get players who fit your scheme, and for some teams, it works, but not many.

Offensively, the Broncos brought in some of the best positional coaches in the NFL with OL Mike Munchak, and TEs Wade Harman. Denver kept RBs Coach Curtis Modkins and WRs Ciacg Zach Azzanni, who are two of the better coaches at their respective positions in the league.

It is a great staff the Broncos put together that focuses on teaching and developing. On the defensive side of the ball, the team didn’t make many changes, but where they did tweak things, they're already looking like good moves.

There is a lot more than can be said about the schemes and Lance Sanderson and I do just that in the latest episode of Dove Valley Deep-Divers. We go in-depth on the schemes and what to expect from them on opening night in Oakland.

We also break down how the schemes benefit a few different players, especially on the defensive side of the ball. To close out the episode, we give some additional thoughts about the upcoming regular season kickoff against the Oakland Raiders and our pick to win.
