There's a good amount of talent on the Miami Dolphins defense, but this week's most significant threat plays right into the revenge element against the Denver Broncos: Bradley Chubb. It's a revenge game for Chubb and Dolphins defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.

Chubb is part of a talented defensive front that is struggling when it comes to the run game. The Dolphins' defense is allowing 160.5 rush yards per game, though we're only two games into the season. The Dolphins also haven't gotten after the quarterback as expected with their talent.

Christian Wilkins, Jaelen Phillips, Zach Seiler, Andrew Van Ginkel, and Chubb have 30 combined pressures and six sacks. They are the pass rush. Although six other Dolphins have registered at least one pressure, it totals two combined sacks and 11 total pressures.

Since the Broncos traded him last fall, Chubb hasn't been as good as the Dolphins had hoped. He has 34 total pressures and six sacks in 11 games. With what Miami gave up for him, and the subsequent contract extension it gave Chubb, the team likely wants more than three pressures per game and a sack every other game.

This is Chubb's first opportunity to play the Broncos since they traded him. In pursuit of his revenge, the edge rusher will be going up against left tackle Garett Bolles for most of his snaps.

Of Chubb's 137 snaps played, 130 have come against the left tackle as an edge, with 135 coming on the offensive left side. However, it wouldn't be surprising to see Fangio flip Chubb and Phillips with how Broncos right tackle Mike McGlinchey has struggled.

Neither tackle has been great this season for the Broncos, but Bolles has at least been serviceable, mainly as a run defender. McGlinchey has been the much weaker link when it comes to pass protection. Adding to it is the issue of handling Wilkins, who makes life difficult for quarterbacks to step into the pocket.

The Dolphins are not as talented on the defensive front as the Washington Commanders are, but they're in the top 10 in the NFL when it comes to talent. This doesn't bode well for the Broncos' offense.

With Chubb mostly going against Bolles, there has been some fireworks between the two. Over the years Chubb and Bolles were together in Denver, there were a few training camp altercations in practice. Now Chubb gets a chance to settle the score in a game against Bolles.

Over two games, Bolles has allowed five pressures and a sack. The good news for the Broncos is that he hasn't been penalized yet, which likely means he has a three-penalty game against Chubb (knock on wood).

As for McGlinchey, who might not see more than a small handful of reps against Chubb at most, he has allowed 12 pressures and two sacks. On top of that, he has been penalized three times, though one was declined or offsetting. Most of McGlinchey's work will come against Phillips, who is also a threat and arguably the biggest to the Broncos.

This game is dangerous for the Broncos. offense, which has statistically done well. However, the Broncos have been unable to sustain momentum going into the second half.

The quick passing game is effective but it has hurt Denver's ability to move the ball consistently. This may be a game the Broncos have to look for the bigger shots to make it into a shoot-out.

Doing so would play to the Dolphins' strength with their ability to get after the quarterback and it would give Chubb more opportunities to exact his revenge.
