KJ Hamler isn't the only Denver Broncos wide receiver who went under the knife this offseason.

Speaking at a youth football event Wednesday, Broncos WR Kendall Hinton disclosed that he had a minor knee scope but will be recovered in time for the July 28 start of training camp, Denver7's Troy Renck reported.

A former undrafted free agent, Hinton is entering his fourth season in Denver. The 26-year-old is best remembered for his heroic quarterbacking effort amid the infamous, COVID-ruined 2020 game against the New Orleans Saints, which landed him a spot in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

In the time since, Hinton has totaled 39 receptions for 486 yards and one touchdown, adding five punt returns for 61 yards, his special-teams prowess proving valuable to the organization.

"I had never seen him do it, so I didn’t know what it would look like, but he did exactly what we asked him to do," then-interim Broncos coach Jerry Rosburg said in January of Hinton's runbacks.

At full health, Hinton could compete with rookie WR Marvin Mims for primary return duties, attempting to carve out a niche — and earn a roster spot — in Denver's log-jammed receiving corps.
