• Denver will be appearing on Monday Night Football for an NFL record-tying record 28th season (1992-present) and 74th time overall.

• The Broncos have compiled a 39-19-1 (.669) all-time opening-game record to tie for the best mark in the NFL. The Broncos are 9-11 (.450) all-time when starting the season on the road.

 • The Broncos and Raiders will meet in the regular-season opener for the eighth time in the teams' histories, with Denver owning a 5-2 record (.714) when opening the year against its AFC West rival. 

• Broncos' all-time record vs. Raiders is 52-63-2 (Home: 27-29-2 / Away: 25-34-0). 

• Since President of Football Operations/GM John Elway was hired in 2011, the Broncos rank among the NFL leaders in total wins (84), regular-season wins (78), division titles (5), Super Bowl appearances (2) and World Championships (1) during that span.

• Vic Fangio, a 40-year coaching veteran with 32 seasons of NFL experience, will make his head coaching debut as the 17th head coach in franchise history.

• OLB Malik Reed became the 23rd undrafted Bronco since 1997 to make the Week 1 roster out of training camp. Denver has had at least one CFA make the team in 15 of the last 16 seasons.

• The Broncos’ active roster features 19 players (35.8%) who were not with the team in 2018. That total includes seven players who joined the Broncos after initial roster cutdowns.

• Denver's top offensive rookie quartet in 2018—running backs Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman, along with wide receivers DaeSean Hamilton and Courtland Sutton—combined for 2,817 yards from scrimmage. That total represents the most yards by a rookie quartet in NFL history. 

• Newly acquired 12th-year quarterback Joe Flacco owns the most road playoff victories (7) in NFL history and is tied for fifth among active quarterbacks in overall wins (106).

• OLB Von Miller was selected to his seventh career Pro Bowl in 2018 to become the sixth player in franchise history to be selected to at least seven Pro Bowls.

• RB Phillip Lindsay totaled 1,037 rushing yards to represent the second-most yards by an undrafted rookie (since the 1970 NFL merger). He is just the sixth Broncos rookie to reach 1,000 yards in a single season. 

• All-time, Broncos head coaches are 11-1 when making their regular-season head-coaching debut at the start of a season.

• Including individuals named head coach during a season, Broncos head coaches are 12-4 in their first regular-season game with the club. 

What to watch for

7 consecutive opening-week wins: Denver can extend its NFL-best seven-game win streak in season openers .

A win gets Denver to 500 wins all-time: Broncos would become the 14th team to reach 500 overall wins with a win. 

Von Miller can move up all-time sacks list (98 career sacks): Miller needs one sack to pass Joey Porter into sole possession of 33rd place on the NFL's all-time sack list. 

Two gets Miller to 100: Von needs two sacks to become just the 33rd NFL player to reach 100 career sacks; he would also become the fourth-fastest player (Reggie White - 96 GP, DeMarcus Ware - 113 GP, Bruce Smith - 115 GP) to reach that milestone.
