Broncos' LT Drops Expletive in Raw Response to 50-Point Dolphins Loss

Garett Bolles was nearly at a loss for words after the Denver Broncos' 50-point loss to the Miami Dolphins.

The most successful season that left tackle Garett Bolles has experienced since joining the Denver Broncos in 2017 is a seven-win season. Twice. One in Vic Fangio's maiden campaign in 2019 and one in his last.

On the heels of the Broncos' brutal, shocking, and downright embarrassing 70-20 loss to the Miami Dolphins, Bolles sat in his locker post-game looking dejected and utterly defeated. When asked what the emotions are like in the locker room, Bolles was point-blank honest.

"S**t," Bolles said via 9NEWS' Scott Gange. "S**t. I'm tired of losing, man. I've been here for seven years, and all I've done is lost, and it's frustrating."

Honestly, I can't help but feel for the guy, but then I remember what took place at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday and how the Broncos, seemingly to a man, gave up on each other, the team, the coaches, the front office, and the fans.

Then I don't feel so bad for Bolles. But it's worth mentioning that while the Broncos' offense was far from impressive, it wasn't the biggest perpetrator in this loss.

It was Vance Joseph's defense that relinquished a 70-burger — the most single-game points scored in an NFL game since 1966. It was Joseph's defense that allowed an NFL record 726 yards from scrimmage.

It was Joseph's defense that allowed 10 touchdowns on 13 true possessions. In fact, through 12 quarters of play, Joseph's defense has relinquished 122 points to opponents.

Is it any wonder why the Broncos are 0-3? The highest-scoring offense of all time that featured Peyton Manning at quarterback would be 0-3 right now with a defense that's allowing nearly 41 points per game. The 2013 Broncos averaged almost 39 points per game, so do the math.

But I will again echo Mile High Huddle's Luke Patterson and remind you that Joseph didn't hire himself. No, that was Sean Payton who raged against the grain and hired one of the most excoriated coaches in Denver sports history and made Joseph his defensive coordinator.

So vent your frustrations. Get the figurative pitchforks out and march against Joseph on social media. Just remember that the buck stops with Payton, not only as this team's head coach but also as the guy who thought the best possible solution was to bring Joseph back to the Mile High City.

Kaboom. The sound of Payton's controversial decision blowing up in his face.

Bolles and the Broncos' offense need to dig deep and, to quote Payton after Sunday's beatdown, "get up off the mat." To Payton's credit, he pointed to himself when it came to making sense of Sunday's football atrocity.

"You always start inwardly and look at, 'Alright, where can I be better?' And then you start with the staff, then we go through the tape, and then you get on to the meetings with the players," Payton said. "So these next two days, we'll have a lot to look at and discuss. Again, it’s disappointing. I mean, I'm at a loss for words because I’ve never been in—I've been on the other side of some games like that, and every once in a while in this league, you get your butt whooped, but this was more than that."

On to Chicago, I guess.
