Report: CSU-Pueblo QB Hunter Raquet Earns Broncos Tryout

The Denver Broncos are set to welcome a gaggle of local college prospects to its rookie minicamp at the UC Health Training Center over the weekend. Among them, 9NEWS' Mike Klis reported Wednesday, is Colorado State University-Pueblo quarterback Hunter Raquet.
Raquet will be joined by his teammate, CSU-Pueblo defensive lineman Momar Fall, as well as Air Force guard Isaac Cochran, Mesa State tight end Dangan Rienks, Colorado State offensive lineman Gray Davis, Colorado School of Mines wide receiver Josh Johnston, and Northern Colorado safety Nick Ciccio.
An eleven-game starter in 2022, his senior campaign, Raquet completed 140 of 238 pass attempts (58.8%) for 2,316 yards, 27 touchdowns, and four interceptions. He added three rushing scores, leading the Thunderwolves to an 8-4 record and a berth in the NCAA Division II playoffs.
Draft Countdown's Shane Hallam ranked Raquet (6-4, 222) as the QB33 in the 2023 NFL draft class.
"Tall with good length. Can move around and navigate the pocket well. Keeps his eyes up. Arm talent is questionable. Likely not on NFL level," Hallam wrote.
Raquet is one of two signal-callers invited to Denver's minicamp. The team will also host reigning XFL passing leader and former Dallas Cowboys draft pick Ben DiNucci on a tryout.
