The entire stadium went quiet when Cleveland Browns running back took a hit to the knee from the helmet of Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick. The play was bad enough ESPN refused to show it on replay.

Chubb was in agony that could be heard on the broadcast as Browns teammates immediately as the cart came out for the franchise running back. Fitzpatrick was also down on the field briefly.

The reality was immediately apparent as the Browns would be without their best player on offense for a significant amount of time and possibly the season. The Acrisure stadium chanted Chubb's name as he was loaded onto the cart and taken off the field.

Chubb finished with 10 rushes for 64 yards on the game.

The Browns had the ball deep in Steelers territory when the injury occurred. They would score on the proceeding play with a pass from Deshaun Watson to Chubb's backup, Jerome Ford.

Ford, Pierre Strong and Elijah Moore are the backfield options the Browns have at their disposal for the rest of this game. There will undoubtedly be speculation as to who the Browns will sign to replace Chubb.

Chubb has been one of the best running backs in the league since he was drafted. At Georgia, he suffered a horrendous injury to the same knee that had people questioning if he'd ever play the game again. This is the first major injury he's suffered in his NFL tenure and immediately gives pause as to what the Browns will be able to achieve this season.
