Browns 1-0 Mentality On Full Display This Week

In this story:
The Cleveland Browns have gone into every single week with the mentality to go 1-0. It didn't matter if it was Week 10 against the Ravens, or Week 17 against the Jets, Kevin Stefanski preached the 1-0 mantra, and each player bought into it.
Now that Cleveland is on the verge of their second season beginning not only does that mantra ring true, but it does so more than it ever has before.
Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah said it best on Tuesday,
“Each week we say we’re trying to go 1-0 and there’s possibly a game right after that. This one is more like we really embrace that concept and that motto to go 1-0, it does intensify it a bit."
In weeks past if they didn't go 1-0, there would still be a game coming up but not this time. If Cleveland slips up, this magical season comes to an end and with it, the dreams of winning the Super Bowl.
For some, that thought adds pressure but for others that idea is comforting. In Joe Flacco's media availability on Tuesday, he also referenced the 1-0 theme but he told his teammates to our everything into preparation for this one. He said that since they are only promised one game, they can fully prepare for the task at hand, and for Flacco, that's a comforting thought.

The urgency around the facility has increased and this team is poised for their trip down to Houston. They are one of the hottest teams in football and will be a handful for any opponent.
Go 1-0 this week and the rest will take care of itself.
