Delpit Leaves Practice With Injury

In this story:
Cleveland Browns safety Grant Delpit left the practice field early with trainers after suffering an injury to what appears to be his right arm or shoulder. In a collision away from the ball with a receiver, Delpit went to the ground for a bit. It is being reported that he walked off favoring the arm.
Practice outdoors was cancelled due to the weather and moved indoors. Media were inside during the session and several videos have been posted to social media like the one below.

The injury does look concerning and fortunately it isn't something concerning the legs. Delpit is in the final year of his rookie deal and is looking to follow up his breakout performance over the last eight games with an even better season.
For the Browns they will be keeping their fingers crossed that it isn't anything too serious. Rodney McCloud who the team signed as a free agent during the offseason will fill in as a starter if Delpit is forced to miss any time. With him, there should be no considerable drop off as he played at a top level last year and has lots of experience playing for Jim Schwartz.
This will certainly put his status for Saturday's preseason finale in Kansas City in question. The team is planning to play the starters for 20-25 snaps. We will keep you posted if we receive any updates on his injury status.
