Joe Flacco has become one of the feel good stories of the NFL since joining the Browns three weeks ago.

Prior to signing with Cleveland, Flacco spent the first 11 weeks of the 2023 campaign watching games at home on the couch and staying in shape by running plays with his kids. Suddenly, the 38-year-old has burst onto the scene like it's 2010, throwing for 565 yards and five touchdowns in just two starts for the Browns.

This feel good story reached a new chapter Sunday, after Flacco delivered a 311-yard, three-touchdown, one-interception performance to beat the Jaguars 31-27, as head coach Kevin Stefanski officially named the 16-year vet the starter for the rest of the season.

While Flacco has expressed his some truly raw gratefulness over being able to just play more football and be in a team setting again, a former NFL player revealed that the former Raven was actually considering another career path.

Retired Steelers safety, Ryan Clark, who now works for ESPN, revealed on Monday's episode of Get Up that Flacco auditioned for a hosting gig on one of Clark's other shows, Inside the NFL, which he hosts with former NFLers Channing Crowder, Jay Cutler, Chad Johnson and Chris Long on the CW. Clark used the anecdote to add that he was "glad we didn't take him," because of how well he's playing for Cleveland.

On top of proving he's still got it on the field, Flacco has shown in just a few short weeks that he's got a way with words. His ability to describe how he processes certain plays or what he saw in real time are well-documented at this point.

A job talking about football may await Flacco in the near future, for now though, Browns fans certainly echo Clark's sentiments; they're glad he didn't get picked for the show.

With four games to go in the season, Flacco is suddenly an important piece to the Browns puzzle as they look to lock up a playoff berth in the coming weeks and perhaps even make a memorable postseason run.
