Kareem Hunt Visiting Browns

According to reports free agent running back Kareem Hunt is visiting the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns lost star running back Nick Chubb to a horrific knee injury that will force him to miss the rest of the season. They now appear to be looking at his best friend and a familiar face to replace him.

For Hunt, this could end his free agency waiting game that he and many other veteran running backs are forced to play these days. For many Browns fans, it came as a surprise that Kareem hasn't been signed by anyone to this point and have been clamoring to bring him back on a cheaper deal all offseason to backup Nick Chubb.

While the Browns had seemed open to the idea of bringing Hunt back publicly, but they are very high on second year running back Jerome Ford who rushed for over 100 yards after Chubb left the game. As a fan, it's easy to want a guy like Hunt back on your team. I mean the guy fights for every blade of grass he can get, on every run.

The question now for the team is being able to determine what kind of shape he is in and whether he has enough juice left in the tank to matter on the field. It's unclear what the pecking order would be on the depth chart and Hunt would likely need sometime to ramp up his conditioning. For Hunt it would be another homecoming and perhaps a chance close out his career as a Brown.
