Buccaneers Officially Name Team Captains for 2023 Season

In this story:
Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles took a very unconventional approach to naming his team's captains this season.
Usually, teams and head coaches name their team captains for the season prior to the first game of the season, however, Bowles did the complete opposite by letting things play out due to the amount of new faces within the Bucs' locker room.
Through the first four games of the season, Bowles elected to send out different players for the coin toss each game to represent the team - a time when most coaches send out their team captains.

Now, following the Bucs' bye week leading up to their matchup against the Detroit Lions, Bowles allowed his team to pick the captains and we now know who will rep the 'C' on their chest for the remainder of the season: QB Baker Mayfield, WR Mike Evans, WR Chris Godwin, T Tristan Wirfs, S Antoine Winfield Jr., LB Devin White, NT Vita Vea and last but not least LB Lavonte David.

Some of these guys are new to becoming a captain but have shown not only that they deserve it with their on-field play, but with their actions off it too.
Some familiar faces also reclaimed their spot on the captains list including long-time Bucs' veterans Mike Evans and Lavonte David.
