Keegan-Michael Key Takes Hilarious Shot at Buccaneers' Baker Mayfield at NFL Honors
The NFL Honors are held annually to honor those players in the league that had outstanding seasons. From the MVP award to Comeback Player of the Year, the awards are meaningful to a lot of players who give their blood, sweat, and tears to the game.
One of the best awards hosts in the game, Keegan-Michael Key, was the host for this year's NFL Honors and he once again did not disappoint. Key always hits with his jokes and is most notably known for his skits with fellow comedian Jordan Peele on their show "Key & Peele".
As mentioned, Key has always done a great job at landing his jokes, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers' quarterback Baker Mayfield, who was up for the NFL's Comeback Player of the Year award, was the target of one of them when talking about how impressed he was at what he accomplished this season.
"It's not often a guy moves to Florida and improves his reputation."
Ahhhh yes, the classic Florida Man joke. It never gets old.
People outside the state of Florida have always had thoughts about the people who live there - they're wild, don't abide by the rules, crazy, you name it, and have earned that reputation by the insane stories that come out of the state seemingly on a regular basis - see the upcoming trailer for GTA 6.
It was a hilarious joke and by all means, warranted. For Baker, he resurrected his career in Tampa, Florida - posting career highs in multiple QB categories - and will look to continue this resurgence as he and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to extend his time in the Sunshine State.
