Soccer Star David Beckham Believes Tom Brady 'looks a little bored' as NFL Rumors Surge

Will Brady be able to stay away from the football field?

Former NFL superstar Tom Brady is staying busy following his second retirement from the game earlier this year. Last week, news broke that Brady was joining the Las Vegas Raiders as a minority owner as he dives head-first into the second stage of his career.

With arguably the greatest quarterback of all time owning a share of a team that he's very familiar with, speculation is already building that he might return to the field for a third time. After all, Brady is technically a free agent after his deal with the Buccaneers expired at the conclusion of the 2022-23 season.

Plus, he's the betting favorite to start for the Raiders if Jimmy Garappolo is unavailable according to BetOnline. That means Brady has better odds to start than Brian Hoyer, who is currently under contract with the franchise.

The rumors are continuing to grow and at least one sports legend believes that Brady looks bored away from the football field.

Earlier this week, former soccer star David Beckham tossed fuel on the fire with a comment about Brady on entrepreneur David Grutman's Instagram page. Beckham is the president and co-owner of Inter Miami CF as well as the co-owner of Salford City.

"Tom looks a little bored to be honest," Beckham joked while tagging Grutman and Brady. Neither party appeared to respond to the ribbing.

Brady is set to become the third former player in NFL history alongside George Halas and Jerry Richardson to transition to the ownership suite. The move isn't expected to conflict with his ten-year/$375-million deal at Fox that will begin in 2024.

This isn't his only foray into a partnership with Owner Mark Davis. Brady previously announced his decision to join Davis as a minority owner of the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces.

Brady suited up for 23 seasons in the NFL with his first two decades coming with the Patriots prior to spending his final three seasons with the Buccaneers. He completed 7753/12,050 passes for 89,214 yards with 649 touchdown passes to 99 interceptions. A seven-time Super Bowl Champion, Brady is one of the most decorated players to ever play the sport with countless records to his name.
