Last season running back Rachaad White proved he could be an every-down back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He finished with over 1,500 all-purpose yards and was just 10 yards shy of the Bucs' first 1,000-yard rusher since Doug Martin. He will return as the team's lead back, but the depth behind him is uncertain.

The Buccaneers have Sean Tucker still on the roster. The undrafted free agent has much to prove next season but the team is excited about him. Bucs general manager Jason Licht said he needs to take a big step in year two at the NFL Draft Combine on Tuesday. If Tucker can take that leap forward in year two the Bucs will be in a much better position in the backfield.

While White did a great job in 2023, the Bucs will look to add another back to take some of the load. The team did like what they saw from Chase Edmonds and there is a possibility he could return to the club in 2024. However, the team could use a running back that can churn out the tough yards in between the tackles.

A.J. Dillon

Dillon gives the Bucs the tough in-between-the-tackles runner they are missing on the roster. At six-foot, 247 pounds, Dillion is a tough back to take down he has been excellent in short-yardage situations. He averaged 2.6 yards after contact and had 21 missed tackles on the year. He finished out 2023 with 613 yards and two scores. He can also be a factor in the passing game with 23 receptions for 223 yards

Zack Moss

Moss is a different style runner than Dillion and is prone to making defenders miss. He forced 36 missed tackles in 2023 while posting 19 explosive runs, gains of over 10 yards, with a long of 56 yards. He finished with a 4.3 yards per carry average and started eight games for the Colts last season. He finished the year with 795 yards rushing and five touchdowns while adding 27 receptions for 192 yards and two scored through the air.

D'Onta Foreman

Foreman forced 21 missed tackles on his way to a 3.9 yards per carry average for the Bears in 2023. After the Bears drafted rookie Rochon Johnson, Foreman was regulated to third string but a rash of injuries opened up a window for the rusher to get back on the field. He finished the year with 425 yards and four touchdowns adding 11 receptions for 77 yards and a score. At 6-foot, 235 pounds, Foreman is a difficult back to bring down reinforced by his 2.7 yards after contact per attempt.
