ARIZONA -- The Arizona Cardinals are looking to fill various holes across the roster, and one former player could make a return to the desert.

The Cardinals made current Philadelphia Eagles LB Haason Reddick a first-round pick years ago. After not working out in the desert, Reddick thrived elsewhere.

Now looking to potentially move on from Philadelphia, Reddick could re-unite with former Eagles defensive coordinator - and current Cardinals head coach - Jonathan Gannon.

From ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler (h/t Bleacher Report)

"The expectation leaguewide is that he is moved at some point. The Eagles went and spent on Bryce Huff, they re-signed Josh Sweat, so they have their two pass rushers. Reddick appears to be the odd man out. He does want a new deal, but this is a premier guy that should have value. He wants a new contract, plus the draft capital that it's going to take to get him. Arizona could be a team to watch because Jonathan Gannon was with him two years ago in Philly. They had good production together. Arizona needs pass rushers. Atlanta to an extent, so there should be teams in the mix."

Reddick reportedly requested a trade on Super Bowl Sunday, though he denied those rumors on social media.

Now, months down the road, the Temple product could indeed move on to a different set of threads.

Reddick - who will turn 30-years-old this season - is in the final year of his contract and is reportedly looking for another pricy extension.

Arizona, considered to be in year two of a rebuild, indeed has the salary cap space and draft ammo to make it happen - we'll see if general manager Monti Ossenfort believes Reddick fits the timeline.
