At what point did the Washington Football Team beat the Philadelphia Eagles?

That's certainly debatable but in my eyes it started with the "Peoples Corner" Jimmy Moreland.

The WFT victory against the Philadelphia Eagles was hard-fought and seemingly impossible at one point in the game. When Washington was down 10-0 in the first quarter, the Eagles were dominating all aspects of the game and could do no wrong.

Add in another Eagles touchdown to  make it 17-0, against a team whose quarterback (Dwayne Haskins) was 3-11 at one point along with an extremely inefficient ground game and the contest seemed all but over.

However, we  know the outcome and all that transpired for Washington to win their first division game since October, 2018.

The pressure became unbearable for the Eagles offensive line and Carson Wentz.  The Washington Football Team's defense forced two turnovers that their offense converted into touchdowns, and the Eagles coaching staff made a few questionable calls that contributed to Washington's run of 24-unanswered points.

But where was the actual turning point in the game that shifted the odds into Washington's favor?

Although Fabian Moreau's interception got the ball rolling for the offense, Jimmy Moreland's interception in the third quarter changed the game's entire outlook.

"As far as Jimmy's concerned, he has fun, enjoys what he does, works at his craft, brings energy to it, and is an infectious type personality. That's what you want on your football team is those guys that may not be the star player, but again, when he's one of those significant role players, he can impact your team," Head Coach Ron Rivera said Monday about Moreland.

After Moreau forced the first Philadelphia turnover which led an initial score for the WFT,  Washington's offense still struggled to move the ball, going three and out on the possession coming out of halftime.

The defense was on a roll, but the team was still not clicking collectively in all phases.

Not until Moreland, came up with his first career interception and nearly scored on the turnover, just one play after Washington punted the football back to Philadelphia.

Be on the lookout next week for the WFT's turning point moment against Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals.
