Everett missed Sunday’s loss in Buffalo with a ankle injury. He’s missed the last four games and his status for November 17 against the New York Jets is unclear.
Everett reportedly signed a three-year deal with Washington per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Prior to the game on Saturday, the #Redskins signed S and special teamer Deshazor Everett to a 3-year contract extension worth $6M base, source said. There are additional incentives, as well.

Everett has played on 114 special teams’ snaps in his five games.
According to ProFootballFocus.com (PFF), Everett has graded as a 61.4/100 player on various special teams’ units while making five tackles. He’s played 1,197 snaps on specials in his five-year career with the Redskins.
Everett is also a rotational safety who struggles in pass coverage, which has led to a 28.5/100 grade from PFF over 30 defensive snaps.
This move won't move the needle in any way, but Everett is a much needed piece of the core and his injury has also allowed Troy Apke to gain experience and flourish a bit in his second year.
