The 2019 Triplets in D.C.?

The Redskins don't have a lot to play for Sunday or moving forward.
Sure, they are playing for the 'eye in the sky' and not going through the motions, as right tackle Morgan Moses told S-I/Maven this week.
Make no mistake. Everything is relative. They're (1-8) and rotting quicker than the Titanic is at the bottom of the ocean.
However, Sunday and the rest of the season could be the dawning of a new era.
Dwayne Haskins makes his first appearance at FedExField in the regular season.
Derrius Guice is set to make his debut at the "concrete jungle" in Landover, 25 + games into his NFL career.
Terry McLaurin's been there and done that on the Redskins home turf, a place they haven't won since October of 2018.
Three reasons why you should be hopeful that Sunday and again next Sunday, when the Redskins host the Lions, is the beginning of a new era.
Is tomorrow the dawning of a new era at FedExField? Any chance that the combination of Dwayne Haskins, Derrius Guice & Terry McLaurin together could turn out to be a version of the famed "triplets" of the #Cowboys (Aikman, Emmitt, Irvin)?

OR
No chance because they're #Redskins?
Listen, I'm not trying to be ridiculous here.
NFL sources that I talk to on a regular basis have a tremendous amount of doubt about Dwayne Haskins. People inside the building feel the same. They'll never admit it publicly, but that's the truth.
It also doesn't mean they'll be right. That's the beauty and concern that we should all be feeling right now.
Guice hasn't been able to stay healthy for an entire game never mind a stretch of games or a season. There's a lot to like but a long, long way to go.
McLaurin is drawing more double teams, bracket coverage and over-the-top coverage because great defenses like the Redskins have faced the last three weeks are not only not scared, but they are laughing at the Redskins passing game.
That's not going to get better with Paul Richardson ruled out of Sunday's game against the Jets.
If Haskins and McLaurin can strike up the band on a few big plays per game, Redskins fans will feel hope again instead of the same desperate and doomed feeling.
I posted the above tweet Saturday and also talked about it on my radio show on 106.7 The FAN and there was interesting reaction on both sides.
No chance man. We’ve been burned so manh times. I just know something will go wrong. Bruce will do something again and get promoted again. Why hasn’t Dan just given him the franchise by now?

If an era dawns but nobody is there to see it, did it really happen? #deep

Not a chance in hell. Those guys will have to go elsewhere to bloom.

No one else in media would even think of this, Rooster! it's an exceptional question! I never even thought of it! Clowns will laugh at you for posing it, but what if you're right! It's one of the reasons I remain your biggest fan. You're never afraid of risks! Keep it up!

They aren't playing for anything but their pride and development at this point. They are playing to cover the spread and provide some faith in Vegas, for whatever that is worth.
McLaurin and Haskins destiny, along with Guice, is tied to the Redskins success. If they are anything close to the 'triplets," then Washington will have a chance. Or at least they'll be entertaining.
If they're a disaster, it will be another 3-4 years at least of the same non-stop nightmare that has feasted on the carcass of the organization for 20+ years.
