Something's afoot for Redskins as Keenum in boot, McCoy fully active

The Washington Redskins don't have the same set schedule of practice this week, after playing on Monday Night Football to pretty tragic results. Instead of Wednesday being the first full practice day of the week, the team conducted a walkthrough in preparation for their foes, the rival New York Giants.
The team still needed to issue a practice report, however, and it included some tasty nuggets. Starting quarterback Case Keenum did not participate, and he's in a walking boot following a foot injury suffered against the Chicago Bears. Meanwhile, Colt McCoy, out since breaking his leg last year, has returned to full strength.
The expectation is that Keenum will play against the Giants, but for fans hoping to see a shakeup to the offense, this is something to continue to monitor throughout the week.

McCoy's return will be interesting to monitor, as Jay Gruden has routinely hinted that McCoy would've been his starter out of camp if healthy, which he clearly wasn't. Three weeks into the season though, has his time arrived and will he be above rookie Dwayne Haskins in the pecking order?
As expected, tight end Jordan Reed is still a no go in practice, dealing with concussion symptoms. It's been over a month now since the illegal blow by Falcons' safety Keanu Neal has put him on the shelf.
On the Giants' side of things, they actually practiced in full on Wednesday, coming off their first victory of the season Sunday over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. RB Saquon Barkley is out with his ankle sprain, as is linebacker Alex Ogletree who is dealing with a hamstring injury.
