Dallas Cowboys ‘Changes’? Dak Prescott Prediction on CeeDee Lamb

Dallas Cowboys ‘Changes’? Dak Prescott Prediction on CeeDee Lamb

It's obvious that Dak Prescott trusts wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and why wouldn't he?

Even following the Dallas Cowboys' loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday afternoon, Dak praised his wideout Lamb, and it was this duo that connected for the final play that fell just short of the goal line in Philly.

Lamb hauled in 11 catches for 191 yards on Sunday, and Prescott says that oftentimes during the offseason, these two worked countless hours on finalizing their chemistry and connection. That's evident in CeeDee's production so far this season as he has truly evolved into a No. 1 receiver in Dallas.

"Obviously, that's just CeeDee Lamb being CeeDee Lamb," Prescott said. "Being a big-time player. Making big-time catches, wanting the ball and wanting to be in those situations. He knows what he can bring to this team and what he can do with the ball in his hand. Don't expect anything to change."

Lamb had expressed frustration earlier this season on his lack of involvement in Mike McCarthy's "Texas Coast" Offense, but it seems that situation has been remedied. Even in a loss, his production was superb on Sunday, and his quarterback had a strong day, as well.

It's still a loss, but Dak said on Sunday that "a lot of good" can come from Sunday's battle against the Eagles. Perhaps, if nothing else, another game of big production from CeeDee Lamb is a salve to that wound. After all, establishing some momentum in November can go a long way in a playoff race, and it appears that this passing game duo may have that momentum as the calendar turns to Week 10.

The Cowboys are now a full 2.5 games behind Philadelphia in the NFC East race, but Dallas has its eyes firmly set on the postseason, division title or not. Next week, the Cowboys play host to the New York Giants, another division foe who Dallas dominated to the tune of a 40-0 final score in Week 1.

Kickoff between Dallas and the G-Men is set for 3:25 p.m. CT on Sunday, and the game will be televised on FOX.
