Dak Prescott 'Trade Me!' Demand Idea Again Pushed on Dallas Cowboys by ESPN

FRISCO - We have a saying around here as we literally hang out at The Star.

"Do you wanna get your Cowboys infomation from Frisco? Or from Bristol''?

And ESPN just demonstrated how dead-on we are.

For the second time in a week, ESPN's Mike Greenberg is trying to get traction by expressing "America's Team''-pointed outrage "on behalf'' of Dak Prescott.

On Wednesday's edition of his radio show, Greenberg once again made the case (as he previously did on TV's "Get Up'') that Dak needs to leave Dallas.

“If I’m Dak Prescott I am genuinely thinking, 'I need to get up out of here!" Greenberg said. "I'd do it!''

Greenberg, not usually a shock jock like many of his colleagues, does a sloppy job of explaining his reasoning, mentioning conflicts with "my best offensive teammate'' (CeeDee Lamb) and "my best defensive teammate'' (Micah Parsons).

And so, "Greeny'' insists, "I'd walk in there and say, 'Trade me! And here's a list of places I'm going.'"

Greenberg doesn't seem to understand the stories he's reading (or not reading) that have come out of Frisco in recent days about the "Bro, Bro, Mama Drama'' that we have chronicled in detail. Read here, but know that in short - while we certainly find it concerning - we also find that there is zero evidence that family members' dopey social-media rants have created a "conflict'' in the locker room. (Indeed, as The Worldwide Leader, maybe ESPN should ask somebody and report rather than assume catastrophe.)

And in "speaking for Dak'' - something we're quite sure Greenberg is unqualified to do, as we work on the very solid assumption that Mike Greenberg has never spoken to Prescott about any desire to "leave Dallas'' - that is a topic that has never come up in this building.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has made it clear that he's "all-in'' on 2024 and that he's a Dak believer, with the massive contract extension still the most likely scenario.

And when Dak Prescott - who had an MVP caliber season - last spoke, right after the playoff loss to the Packers, he actually took blame for the failure while as usual noting the high expectations that come with playing in Dallas.

"I sucked tonight,” Prescott said, later adding, "I understand it's about winning the Super Bowl, and that’s the standard of the league, and damn sure the standard of this place. I get it ...''

By the way, CowboysSI.com was at AT&T Stadium that night, standing within a few feet of Dak talking about his Cowboys. And we did not spot his "volunteer spokesman'' Mike Greenberg anywhere in the vicinity.
