Dak Prescott's Bag: Can Louis Vuitton Move Dallas Cowboys to 'LV' Super Bowl?

The Dallas Cowboys have used the motto of "running our own race" since midway through the season, and now that the regular season race has been run, Dak Prescott and Co. are lacing up their shoes for perhaps the most important race of their NFL lives.

Oh, and speaking of wardrobe, Dak Prescott is also "in his bag'' - his Louis Vuitton bag. Or bags. And anything else emblazoned with a stylish "LV.'' And why?

"I've got a lot of Louis Vuitton," Prescott said. "It's because of the LV - Las Vegas. If I look at my bag, it's all LV, literally. I just got my girl a bag the other day. I'm like, 'The only one I'm getting is one of these with the LV logo on it.'

"That was an easy, simple reminder."

Reminder of what?

The Super Bowl this year is in "LV,'' er ... Las Vegas. Oh, and this 58th Super Bowl is "Super Bowl LVIII'' ... so "LVs'' all crammed into Dak's psyche in every way.

Up first is the Green Bay Packers, as the Cowboys will host Mike McCarthy's former team in the Wild Card Round with the chance to move onto the Divisional Round - which would also be at AT&T Stadium. (Yes, Dak surely owns some gear with "ATT'' on it as well.)

With the Cowboys holding the No. 2 seed in the NFC, the potential, if things go their way, is there to reach the NFC Championship game, which is a big carrot dangling in front of Dallas.

But Dak Prescott isn't interested in the "what-ifs."

"It starts with just the team that we have first and foremost,” Prescott said. “Talked all year about 'running our race' and then just being able to do that through the ebbs and flows, the ups and downs of the season and still getting the two spot [No. 2 seed], having these home games here in our hand.

"It starts with taking care of this one, and we can talk about the opportunity and this and that, but the opportunity is right now.”

While the Cowboys have opened as favorites, it is important to remember that this is still playoff football, so no teams are considered "easy beats," and the Packers, with Jordan Love, come into AT&T Stadium on a three-game winning streak.

So, while there could be a collective eye gazing towards what the Cowboys "could" achieve going forward, that is predicated on Dallas taking care of business first.

To do that, the Cowboys will need to have their blinkers on and take care of the first challenge that is presented, and get this race off to a good start.

Prescott and the Cowboys are ready, having completed all they wanted to in the regular season; now comes the toughest race of all, where every mistake has a chance at ending the season.

It's playoff football, and the rewards are grand, but Dak and the Cowboys' focus remains as it always has - on themselves. Well, and on their fashionable collection of LVs.
