'That's Cute!' Cowboys' Micah Parsons Reveals Playoff Mindset: 'Legacy - Be Phenomenal or Be Forgotten!'

Dallas Cowboys defensive star Micah Parsons is ready for his third playoff campaign and is looking to build his legacy, as other Cowboys greats have before.

The Dallas Cowboys clinched the NFC East and the No. 2 seed with a commanding 38-10 win over the Washington Commanders at FedEx Field ... but Micah Parsons wants more.

Now embarking on his third playoff campaign, Parsons is looking to establish himself as a Cowboy great as players are judged on what they do in the playoffs, rather than the regular season.

"The regular season is cute,” Parsons said. “But this is legacy. ... 'Be phenomenal or be forgotten.' ... The way Jimmy [Johnson], Michael [Irvin], the way people show them love, and Charles [Haley], that's where me, CeeDee [Lamb], Dak [Prescott] all want to be, that legacy and earn our way into that type of Cowboys Hall of Fame."

That would be the Ring of Honor. And that is some list that Micah wants to be a part of - and he is well on his way. After totaling 13 sacks in his first two seasons, Parsons spoke of how desperate he was to get one more.

Well, it took until the third quarter against Washington, but Parsons got his sack (no he didn't have to jump offside) and moved his total to 14 on the season.

With Micah becoming one of the most feared pass rushers in the league, to be able to still produce at a high level when defensive coordinators are trying to take you away says a lot about his talent.

“It means I’m just getting better and better,” Parsons said on him getting his 14th sack. “I’ve improved in almost every aspect of my game, really committed to getting better and just everything overall. Really happy where I’m at right now but I’ll be really excited if I get to where we’re going to.”

The Cowboys will now meet the Green Bay Packers in what is an ironic twist as Mike McCarthy's former team will travel to AT&T Stadium and Dallas has opened as 7-point favorites.

The regular season is now over as the Cowboys finished with 12 wins for the third consecutive time, but as Parson says, that's "cute'' - the legacy tournament now begins.
