NFL New Power Rankings: Where Do Dallas Cowboys Rate for Week 13?

The Dallas Cowboys are one of the hottest teams in the NFL as the calendar turns to Week 13 of the season, and that streak continued with a 45-10 win over the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving Day.

As Dallas shifts its focus to a brutal late-season schedule in the midst of a playoff push, how does it stack up to the rest of the league in the NFL power rankings? Sports Illustrated released its updated list of the rankings on Tuesday, and the Cowboys came in at No. 6 on the list, bracketed on each side by the Detroit Lions (No. 5) and Miami Dolphins (No. 7).

The Cowboys have shown a knack for blowing out "lesser" competition in the NFL this season, but, as mentioned above, the schedule ramps up down the stretch. Dallas' archrival Philadelphia Eagles travel to Arlington on Dec. 10, and they hold the top spot in this week's rankings.

Here's a look at Dallas' remaining schedule and where they fall on this list from SI.

Nov. 30 vs. Seattle Seahawks (No. 11)

Dec. 10 vs. Philadelphia Eagles (No. 1)

Dec. 17 at Buffalo Bills (No. 13)

Dec. 24 at Miami Dolphins (No. 7)

Dec. 30 vs. Detroit Lions (No. 5)

Jan. 7 at Washington Commanders (No. 28)

In short, every one of the Cowboys' remaining games (save for the road trip to Washington) comes against teams placed in the top half of the NFL in this week's power rankings. That's not an easy task.

Of course, it helps that three of these games are at home, especially the one against the Philadelphia Eagles. Dallas has not lost a home game since Week 1 of last season, posting a record of 13-0 at AT&T Stadium since that loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The tough test begins a little early this week as the Cowboys are set to host the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. CT, and the game will be televised on Prime Video.
