Dallas Future: How Many Cowboys Rank in Top 30 Free Agency 2024?

The Dallas Cowboys have been far from stagnant this free agency cycle.

And with these key moves, the Cowboys, coming off back-to-back 12-win campaigns, head into 2023 with even loftier expectations.

Among those important deals were among their own, such as re-signing running back Tony Pollard, linebacker Leighton Vander Esch and safety Donovan Wilson.

However, next offseason will be filled with even more decisions for the Cowboys front office to make.

The Athletic recently listed the NFL's top 30 free agents in 2024, with cornerback Trevon Diggs ranking at the No. 13 spot.

"His ability to take the ball away (17 picks in three seasons) is rare, and he could see more opportunities this season with Stephon Gilmore opposite him," The Athletic writes. "Only three NFL cornerbacks have annual averages of $20 million or more. Diggs might push to become the fourth."

Diggs, still on his rookie-scale contract, is set to have a $4.8 million cap hit in 2023.

But if the two-time Pro Bowler plays up to level he has through his three seasons, he could join Green Bay Packers Jaire Alexander, Cleveland Browns Denzel Ward and the Miami Dolphins Jalen Ramsey as the only cornerbacks eclipsing $20 million annually.

The Cowboys next soon-to-be free agent, offensive tackle Terence Steele, was recently signed to a second-round tender for 2023.

"A predominant right tackle with experience on the left side," The Athletic writes."The former undrafted free agent allowed one sack and 20 pressures on 413 pass-blocking snaps in 2022 and is an excellent run blocker. If Steele returns to form, he could command a deal in the range of $17 million annually."

With an abundance of other free agents to tend to next offseason among Steele and Diggs, Dallas will have its fair share of decisions to make in 2024.

But the goal before that?

Reaching their first Super Bowl since the 1995 season.
