Dallas Cowboys Offense Feasts In First Half vs. Washington Commanders On Thanksgiving, Up 20-10

In this story:
ARLINGTON - The Dallas Cowboys' offense has been firing on all cylinders over the past few weeks, and they kept their hot streak going as they lead the Washington Commanders 20-10 halfway through their traditional Thanksgiving game.
While Dallas' first drive stalled out, the next two both ended in touchdowns. The first one went 90 yards on 11 plays, capped off by Rico Dowdle taking a Dak Prescott screen pass 15 yards to the house. Then after the Commanders got on the board with a field goal, the Cowboys responded with a six-play, 75-yard drive, with Prescott throwing a 31-yard dime to a wide-open Brandin Cooks.
Just seconds before halftime, the Cowboys would cap off a perfect two-minute drill as Tony Pollard bulldozed his way into the end zone for a seven-yard touchdown.
In total, Dallas racked up 272 yards and 15 first downs in the first half despite having the ball for barely over 11 minutes.
Prescott, who's in the midst of one of the best stretches in his career, kept on rolling in the first half. The longtime Cowboys star completed 13 of 18 passes for 221 yards and two touchdowns. Pollard added 34 yards and a touchdown on six carries. Jalen Tolbert also had a nice half with two receptions for 49 yards.

Defensively, sailing hasn't been quite as smooth for the Cowboys. Washington has the clear edge in time of possession, and has managed to move the ball effectively with two long drives. At the very least, the Cowboys managed to keep the Commanders out of the end zone on one of those drives, forcing 43-yard field goal by Joey Slye instead.
Commanders quarterback Sam Howell was a busy man in the first half, completing 16 of 23 passes for 170 yards and scoring a rushing touchdown. Brian Robinson Jr. led the way on the ground with 10 carries for 40 yards, although he was shaken up in the middle of the second quarter. Through the air, it's been Curtis Samuel leading the charge with five receptions for 65 yards.
The Cowboys will get the ball to start the second half as they look to pad their lead.
