'Jerry Poppins'? Is Jones-Led Dallas Cowboys Optimism Enough To Win in Playoffs? FISH PODCAST

In this story:
FRISCO - Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones believes a Super Bowl is within his team's reach ... which pretty much marks right around the 30th straight year he's believed that.
That is in part why long ago I labeled him "Jerry Poppins'' ... because his eternal optimism - or crafty salesmanship - will cause him to shove that spoonful of sugar right down the gullet of Cowboys Nation.
But are you buying what he's shoving?
And more importantly: Does Jones' feel-good view of these 10-5 Cowboys - who are going to the playoffs but who have problems winning on the road ... which they will likely have to do in the postseason to get to that elusive Super Bowl - permeate The Star in a positive way?
"We’re in as good a shape as we’ve been in and many years for this team to go on a good run and win this thing,'' Jones said on 105.3 The Fan this week, speaking of the Cowboys' relatively healthy roster.
And all in all, Jones added, “I wouldn’t trade our position for a better one today. And it has everything to do with how healthy we are in key spots.”
The 10-5 Cowboys wouldn't trade to jump from the No. 5 slot in the playoffs to a better seed? Now that's optimism.
Virtual Fight! Micah Reacts to Gronk 'Weird Loser' Rip
Jones said Dallas' poor road record of 3-5 isn't about "bad luck.'' Indeed, by the time he got done talking, he'd spun the question around into making it sound like it's all about good luck!
'I'm Not Happy!' Rodgers Reacts To Next Cowboys Foe
"I don’t think bad luck. I don't think it’s psychological. ... I’m glad we’ve got a team that can play at that (championship) level. Now when you have that, you can take a team like we’ve got and you can go any place. And boy, you can make some good things happen and you win the ball game. And then you do it on another one. And then another one and the next thing you know, you’re in the big game.”

That is some gifted spinning right there. Jerry Poppins believes. Do his Cowboys? Let's discuss in the Fish Report and the Fish Podcast!
