Former NFL RB Le'Veon Bell Has Harsh Opinion of Giants QB Daniel Jones

In this story:
When it comes to New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, people either support him or don't think he's worth the cost of the uniform threads the Giants spend to clothe him.
Put former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell in the latter category. In an appearance on the AP Pro Football podcast with Rob Maaddi, who opined that Jones was a mediocre quarterback, Bell took the opinion further with a more blunt assessment of the Giants' signal caller.

“Daniel Jones, he’s in the bottom tier. He’s in the bottom tier of NFL quarterbacks,” Bell said, adding, “He’s not mediocre. There are average quarterbacks; he’s in the bottom tier."
Bell is miffed that the Giants rewarded Jones, who is coming off his bet season as a pro, with a lucrative multiyear contract, but did not extend the same courtesy to running back Saquon Barkley, who will play the coming season on a slightly modified the franchise tag worth $11 million if Barkley hits all the incentives and the Giants make the playoffs.
"I’m not here trying to talk bad about Daniel Jones," Bell insisted. "I’m just trying to be real for everybody who’s hearing it. He’s in the bottom tiers. Saquon [Barkley] is in the top tier of his position. So how does that make sense?”
Bell famously (and regretfully) sat out the 2018 season in protest during a contract dispute with the Steelers. In a separate interview with the New York Post, he clarified his point by saying, "When you have a player like..Saquon or Josh Jacobs...you pay the player, not the position."
